We begin where every act of faith starts: gratitude. God has been faithful to CVCC in ways that are specific, undeniable, and worth pausing to remember.
Our church is itself a testimony, born from the merger of four congregations, a living sign of unity and God's providential leading. Today we minister from an 11-acre campus that is completely debt-free. That is not an accident. That is the hand of God.
And the ministry is bearing fruit. Lives are being changed. People are coming to faith. Families are being restored. Ministries are growing.
Before we look to what is ahead, we look back. What we see is the faithfulness of God.

Because of His faithfulness, CVCC is growing and that growth has brought us to a moment of decision.
Our worship center is running out of room. Our lobby is crowded and there is little space for people to connect and welcome guests. Our Chinese ministry has no permanent home and no room large enough to gather. Our Bible studies and small groups do not have enough rooms to accommodate current needs and we have no space to add new studies or launch new groups. Our kids and youth ministries are stretched beyond what our current facilities were designed to handle. And on any given Sunday, our full parking lot tells the whole story.
This is not a problem. This is a gift: the kind of problem only God's blessing can create.
We do not know every step ahead, but we believe God is calling us to prepare for more. He has revealed the vision and we trust in His leading.

In the book of Ezra, God's people returned from exile. Grateful and restored, they were called to build. They didn't have every answer. They didn't see the full path. But they trusted the God who had already brought them this far, and they built.

Our priority is building people. First and foremost, Blessed for More is a discipleship journey. Phase 1 begins with the vision of designing and implementing leadership development strategies across all areas of CVCC ministry. Our hope is to prepare and raise an abundance of leaders to guide, teach and shepherd all of the people who call CVCC home. Phase 1 also includes a renewed focus on our kids and youth ministries. We want every child and student already in our care to encounter Jesus and grow in faith, surrounded by caring adults who walk alongside them, while we welcome more families, equip more volunteers to serve, and partner with parents so faith is formed both at church and at home. Beyond our campus, we will continue to invest in the global mission fields of 16 countries and counting that God has called us to, proclaiming the Gospel to every nation, tribe and language.
Phase 1 transforms our campus and expands our mission. A new 950+ seat worship center, expanded indoor and outdoor gathering spaces, a new café, and additional parking will create more room to worship, connect, and belong. A new multi-use chapel will give our Chinese ministry a permanent home while serving the entire church family as a warm and inviting space for fellowship, events, and ministry life.

God has been so faithful to CVCC. We can look back and see His hand in lives changed, families restored, children discipled, students growing in faith, and people finding a home in the body of Christ. That faithfulness is exactly why I believe He is calling us to this next step. Blessed for More is not simply a financial campaign. It is a spiritual invitation — to trust God more deeply, steward what He has given us more faithfully, and make room for the people He is still calling us to reach. I am asking you to pray, believe, lead with unity, and when the time comes, give in a way that requires faith. I cannot wait to see what God does among us.

Because God has already been faithful, and the need has caught up with the growth. For years, CVCC has quietly prepared: God grew this church from four merged congregations into a family that, in some seasons, has grown 25% year over year. He gave us this campus. He gave us leaders before we knew we’d need them. Blessed for More is CVCC’s response to that record of provision: a step of faith born out of gratitude, not fear. Practically, the timing is real too: on many Sundays we’re already out of seats, out of room for our groups, and nearly out of space for our kids and students. The decisions we make in this season will shape what CVCC can do for the next generation. One of our longtime elders keeps a phrase underlined in his own Bible from CVCC’s last two building seasons: “God’s work done in God’s way will never lack God’s support.” That’s the confidence behind Blessed for More.
Because we’re at capacity in the very places our mission happens. Since our founding, CVCC has been committed to reaching people in the Chino Valley who don’t know Jesus, raising up kids and students, and partnering with what God is doing around the world. Today, an estimated 47% of people in our community have no spiritual commitment at all, a number that climbs past 60% when false religions are included. At the same time, we expect to run out of seats within two years, maybe less. Kids and youths (who outnumber adults within 10 miles of our campus) have outgrown their space, and we’re already out of room for groups on our main ministry days. Groups have been asked to move out of our campus and start meeting in members’ homes simply because there was no space left, and our Chinese ministry is capped at 90 people with nowhere larger to grow into. Expansion isn’t about a bigger building for its own sake. It’s about making room for the people God is still bringing to CVCC, and for discipling the generation who will carry this church forward.
Growth in size and growth in relationship aren’t in tension for us. We’ve built for both. Our discipleship goal isn’t changing: we’re still pursuing “100% 1+1,” every person who calls CVCC home worshiping together on Sunday in one worship service AND belonging to a smaller discipleship group: a Bible study, a small group or an adult Bible fellowship. That’s where real relationships happen, and no building changes that calling. We even designed the new worship center with this in mind: at roughly 950 seats, it’s intentionally not so large that Pastor Brian becomes a face on a screen. You’ll still see him live on stage, and he’ll still be able to see you. We’re building more room, not more distance.
$12 million fully funds Phase 1 of the vision. Raised above and beyond regular giving over the next three years, it will build a new 950+ seat worship center, expanded indoor and outdoor gathering spaces, a new café, additional parking, and a multi-use chapel that gives our Chinese ministry a permanent home while serving the whole church for weddings, breakfasts, classes, and gatherings throughout the week. It also includes investment in leadership development and our international ministry partnerships. Every dollar is aimed at the same thing: more room for people to encounter Jesus, connect with each other, and grow.
The elders will pray, weigh the options carefully, and bring any major decision back to the church family for a vote. If Blessed for More doesn’t reach $12 million within the three-year window, our elders will come together to seek God on the path forward. That could mean exploring a bridge loan, extending the giving window, or moving ahead in faith with what’s been provided. Whatever direction the elders discern, it won’t be decided behind closed doors. It will come to the full congregation for a vote. This is your church, and a decision this size belongs to all of us.
Our strong preference is no. We want the resources God’s people generously give to go directly toward ministry, not toward paying down a loan. At the same time, we trust that God can provide in ways we don’t always expect, so we won’t rule out any option before we’ve prayed it through. If borrowing ever becomes something the elders need to seriously weigh, we’ll explore it carefully, and just like any major financial decision at this scale, it would go to the congregation for a vote before moving forward.
We begin with Phase 1 and trust God for what Phases 2 and 3 look like as He provides.
Construction timing depends on how God’s people respond on Commitment Sunday. We don’t have a fixed start date yet, because groundbreaking follows the commitments we receive, not a calendar we’ve set in advance. Our needs are real and urgent, but we’re trusting God’s timing over our own. As commitments come in and plans firm up, we’ll share real dates and a construction schedule with the whole church family.
Very little. Phase 1 is new construction rather than a renovation of our current buildings, so it won’t interrupt our weekly services or ministry events. There may be occasional stretches where a handful of parking spaces need to be blocked off for safety or staging, but for most of construction, every one of our parking spaces will remain available. We’ll give advance notice anytime that changes.
Start with prayer, then ask God what generosity looks like for you. Consider what that means in your life right now: it might be a financial gift, but it might also be your time or your service to a ministry. Get excited about what God is doing here, and don’t keep it to yourself. Tell others in your circle and invite them to pray alongside you. Blessed for More belongs to the whole church family, not just those who give financially.
No. Financial giving is one part of engagement, not the whole of it. Just like our “100% 1+1” discipleship goal isn’t really about attendance numbers, our primary goal for Blessed for More isn’t a dollar figure. It’s every person in the CVCC family praying, listening to God, and stepping into whatever “more” He’s calling them toward. For some, that includes a generous financial commitment. For others, it may look like serving, praying regularly for the vision, or helping a friend take their next step toward Jesus. If every person engages spiritually with what God is doing, we trust Him with the rest.
Start on your knees, not with a calculator. Scripture is clear that giving isn’t about matching someone else’s number or giving under pressure: “Each one must do just as he has purposed in his heart, not grudgingly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver” (2 Corinthians 9:7, NASB). Bring it to God in prayer as a family before you look at the giving chart. Ask Him honestly what faith and sacrifice look like for you in this season: not what’s comfortable, but what stretches your trust in His provision.

CVCC is elder-led, so ultimate oversight rests with our elders, but no major decision happens without the church. Day-to-day leadership sits with our Ministry Expansion Team, who work alongside experts in construction, finance, and ministry planning. A dedicated finance committee helps ensure every financial decision is sound. But the biggest decision of all, whether to move forward, isn’t made by a committee. It’s a congregational vote, decided by the members of this church.
